Situated in three acres of pastureland, Grange House is a beautifully presented former farmhouse providing excellent self catering accommodation for small groups and families. The property offers a delightful mix of the modern and traditional with features including exposed beams, wall panelling, ledged doors, tiles, decorative wallpapers and antique furnishings.
The spacious and contemporary lounge has a feature fireplace with wood burner stove, large sofa, easy chairs, a TV and DVD player. The dining room can seat up to seven people and the kitchen offers an excellent range of self catering facilities including an oil-fired Aga, electric oven, fridge/ freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher. There is a further utility area which houses the washing machine and dryer - please note that this facility is accessed via the garden and shared with the owner.
The cottage has one ground floor double bedroom which overlooks the front garden and there is also a nearby fully tiled shower room plus additional cloakroom facility. The master double bedroom is set on the first floor and has exposed beams, lovely Dale views and a large ensuite shower room with bidet, WC and hand basin. The two final bedrooms - one twin and one single - are located adjacent to the family bathroom with feature roll top bath, wash basin and WC.
The cottage sits in extensive grounds and has a garden with steam, ornamental fish pond, patio and outdoor seating area. Plenty of off road parking is provided and there is secure bike storage.
The rental price includes electricity, linen, towels, duvets and pillows. A heating supplement applies during winter months - £40 per week or £7 for a short break.
Short breaks of three nights or more are welcome throughout the year and the property is offered on a flexible changeover day basis. Please note we do not accept pets.
The cottage is set close to Walden Head and the slopes of Buckden Pike. Enjoy exploring the surrounding area including Wensleydale, Walden, Bishopdale and neighbouring Wharfedale with plenty of bridleways and footpaths nearby.
