Two bedroom Curlew Lodge is spectacularly situated just 20 yards from the Solway Firth foreshore on the Arbigland Estate to the south of Dumfries. The lodge takes its name from the curlews who frequent the area and is 1 of 3 luxury log chalets slightly set apart and configured differently from the other two. Living space is open plan, bright and contemporary in style, with a cosy woodburning stove and gas central heating, perfect for year round breaks in beautiful Dumfries & Galloway. Short breaks are available during low season, and Curlew has a covered deck with an orchard of fruit trees surrounding it. Magnificent views from the lodge are across to the Solway Firth and towards Galloway's Criffel mountain.
Short breaks (minimum 2 night stays) are offered during low season. Curlew is available to book all year round, and 1 of 3 luxury lodges situated in the same foreshore area on the Estate. We also have a further collection of farmhouses and cottages at Arbigland. Accommodation is available to book individually or in conjunction with other properties for larger groups. Wedding parties, extended family group bookings and corporate events are all warmly welcomed. Self-catering accommodation across the estate offers over 30 beds, ideal for large group bookings.
The Arbigland Estate surrounding the lodge is a stunning corner of Dumfries & Galloway brimming with birdwatching and wildlife watching opportunities.
