Recently renovated Albany Lane is a beautiful mews cottage peacefully situated in Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. Originally a tea merchant's office and warehouse dating from the early 1800s,  this charming cottage with modern open plan living space, a garage and a sunny secluded patio is a mere 5 minutes' stroll from Princes Street.  The Old Town and High Street are just a 10 minute walk away.  WiFi internet access is available and the property is gated and secure, located behind its own high wall.  Broughton Street's stylish bistro restaurants and bars are within a 1 minute walk.

Living Space

Two storey - Open plan living, dining and kitchen area - 2 Bedrooms (1 with ensuite) - Downstairs shower room

An Open plan living, dining and kitchen area is downstairs from which large patio doors lead out to the furnished patio area.  

The living area contains a stylish sofa and matching foot rest, a contemporary seat, a flat-screen LED TV with Freeview HD and radio channels and a DVD player.

The kitchen has high spec Siemens units, a dishwasher, an electric oven and a gas hob, a large fridge and a freezer. 

Bedrooms/Bathrooms - Two bedrooms upstairs include a Master bedroom with two full sized single beds which can be a super king-size double.  The Master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom featuring underfloor heating, a bath and a shower.  Bedroom two is a double with a wardrobe and a dresser.  Alarm clocks and a hairdryer are provided.  A further shower and wc with underfloor heating is located downstairs.

Garage - A door leads out from the kitchen on to Albany Street Lane and to the attached garage with a washing machine and a separate dryer.  The garage is wide and high and can accommodate a car - please note proportions are 14ft 6in (4.42m) long and 6ft 4in (1.95m) high.  The garage entrance is 9ft (2.77m) wide.

Patio - Secluded with outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco drinks and dining.

Other Things to Note

  • Secure WiFi and the cottage is wired for internet access via access points located in the master bedroom and main living room.
  • Central heating, electric, bed linen, towels, internet access and hot water are all fully inclusive in booking price.
