Wonderful holiday cottage in the foothills of Penyfan. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, it sleeps 10 (plus pull out bed and cots), and is fantastically equipped for groups and families, with toys, a trampoline and swings and slide in the garden. Just 2 miles from the centre of Brecon and half a mile from the most scenic route up Pen-y-Fan the highest peak in the Beacons, it is perfectly located for a great holiday in the Brecon Beacons. Just walk up the hill behind the house to the wonderful Llwyn Cwm Llwych the secret lake as shown in Secret Britain. The house is beautifully decorated and a pleasure to stay in.
The big well equipped kitchen, with a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, has a dining area and wood burning stove. There is a large sitting room with a wonderful wood burning stove and plenty of sofas, a piano and a further library which is perfect to relax in. The conservatory has beautiful views of the garden and up the mountain, and has an antique pool / ping pong table, which can be used as a dining table.
Halfway up the first flight of stairs is a 'solarium' - a small, sunny sitting area with views up the mountain. It's a good spot for bird watching.

Outside, there is a terrace with a bbq, and then lawns looking up to the mountains. There is a 12 foot trampoline with a safety net, 2 swings and a slide as well as outdoor childrens toys and games such as horseshoes.
Just 2 miles from Brecon, Danyfan is perfectly positioned for cycling and walking. Walk straight from the house up Pen-y-Fan and its neighbouring peaks. There is also fantastic cycling as the property is on the Taff Trail providing 55 miles of largely traffic-free roads, paths and canal towpaths. Pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting, fishing and more advanced riding can all be arranged locally. For those looking for a quieter stay there are numerous shops in Brecon as well as a cinema and some great pubs and restaurants.
