About this Caravan and Camping Site

Boasting one of the most picturesque and central Lakes locations on the shores of Windermere lake, National Trust Low Wray campsite is ideal for visiting the National Park and it’s quaint villages including nearby Ambleside and Windermere. The campsite gives direct access to the lake shore with opportunities for a range of water sports including sailing and kayaking.

We offer camping options to suit all tastes with grass pitches, camper van spaces and wooden glamping pods for more luxurious breaks. Families are very welcome at our campsite and dogs are also welcome in the camping fields.

There are free designated parking areas and plenty of high quality onsite facilities including shower blocks, laundry facilities and a shop.

Pitches/ Accommodation

We have 120 bookable tent pitches and 10 pitches available on a first come first served basis. Pitches are available in four different campsite locations in the woodlands, on the meadow, with views of the lake or on the waterfront.

In addition to camping pitches we also have 10 luxury glamping pods, two brand new Berber tents and four tipis. Our three standard pods sleep two adults and one child and our seven family pods can sleep two adults and three children.

The two Berber tents sleep four and six and are situated in the woodland with a woodburner and gas cooking stove.

We can accommodate camper vans on our nine non-electric pitches.
