Jerry and Barbara, owners of the Scarrscroft Bed and Breakfast, aim for you to arrive as guests and say goodbye as friends. The guest house is located in the village of Thornton-le-Dale in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. It's only a short walk to the centre of town which has a range of amenities and several places for you eat lunch and dinner. Off-street parking in a wide driveway is provided.
Pets aren't accepted and smoking is only permitted outside, in the garden.
Scarrscroft has a newly refurbished double guest room with an en-suite bathroom. It's located on the ground floor which suits guests with mobility problems. The room features a Freeview TV/DVD player, hair dryer, radio alarm clock, a great selection of books, magazines and DVDs to keep you well entertained and of course - tea and coffee making facilities for your morning or evening cuppa!
The bathroom has a walk in shower, WC, wash basin, shaver socket and complimentary toiletries.
As this is your holiday, breakfast is served in the homely dining room at a time that suits you Start with a choice of cereals and then enjoy a full English breakfast with high quality, locally sourced ingredients.
You have your own private access to the room the rear of the garden, allowing you to come and go as you please.

Thornton-le-Dale is an incredibly scenic village with tea rooms, coffee shops and a restaurant. The White Rose Way also passes through.
The North York Moors National Park has an unending about amount of things to see and do, From stunning scenery, walking and cycling routes, horse riding and watersports, it's a great day out for all interests. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway hosts a special WWII Wartime Weekend event in Pickering every October.
Other events include Thornton-le-Dale's Spring Gala (Sunday 24th May); Dalby Forest concerts (every June); Ryedale Show (Tuesday 28th July); 63rd Pickering Traction Engine Rally (Thursday 30th July to Sunday 2nd August), and the Thornton-le-Dale Show (Wednesday 5th August).
From the Pickering to Scarborough road: Take the A170, turn onto Roxby Road and then take the third right into Farmanby Close. Scarrscroft is the fifth house on the left.
From the A169: After leaving the roundabout junction with the A64, turn right after 3.9 miles where it's signposted for Thornton Dale and the Pottery. Continue down the road for four miles and upon entering the village, turn left into Roxby Road. Then follow the road to the right and take the first left into Farmanby Close. Scarrscroft is the fifth house on the left.
