Superb property on the charming East Side of Whitby, close to the 199 steps that lead to Whitby Abbey. Tipple Cottage is without doubt one of the most interesting properties in Whitby. It has been meticulously and beautifully restored to the highest standard but it is called Tipple Cottage for a reason - due to a slippage over 100 years ago.
Due to its history the cottage now has sloping windows and a steep, windy staircase which is very typical of Whitby fishing cottages. The property retains many original features and you can enjoy modern day comforts beautifully blended with 200 year old history. The galley kitchen is well proportioned and is equipped with everything you need (except the chef!)
Two bedrooms with breathtaking views, the master room has an en-suite shower room and there is an additional house bathroom making the property ideal for two couples or a small family.
To the rear is a patio which benefits from the sun's rays for most of the day during summer
Attractions, cafes, coffee houses, and shopping are all within easy walking distance
