Located at the end of a quiet country lane in the picturesque and unspoilt South Devon village of Bantham, the Annexe at Sloopside is a cosy seaside chalet with exceptional coastal views and an enviable location.  Within easy walking distance is Bantham beach, widely considered one of the most beautiful in the West Country, and a favourite with surfers and other water sports' enthusiasts.  The popular and historic Sloop Inn which serves excellent food is just a stone's throw away.

 The house offers uninterrupted views over Bigbury Bay to Burgh Island's famous Art Deco hotel from both of its ground floor bedrooms, as well as from the spacious living area on its first floor.

Guests can take in the fresh air and views from the dual aspect balcony, or sunbathe down in the newly landscaped garden area.

As well as the nearby open spaces of the beach, Sloopside is conveniently located for the golf courses at Thurlestone and Bigbury, and for miles of wonderful walking along the South West Coast Path.  The beautiful scenery around the beach and river estuary provides good fishing and wonderful inspiration for keen artists.

A cosy, comfortable, self-contained chalet with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and generous living space, the Annexe at Sloopside is the ideal holiday home for couples, friends or smaller families.

Entrance to ground floor lobby area with washing machine and tumble dryer. Hallway on left leading to sleeping accommodation:  master bedroom with king size bed, ensuite bathroom with separate shower and door to annexe garden; second bedroom which has zip and link beds and can be arranged as a twin or double room also has door to garden.  Opposite is a family bathroom with power shower over bath.  From the ground floor lobby, stairs straight ahead lead to the first floor open plan living area with dual aspect and lovely views of Burgh Island and surrounding countryside.  Well-equipped kitchen with induction hob, single oven, combination microwave oven, dishwasher and large capacity fridge with ice box.  Dining area with table and chairs to seat 4, and adjacent patio doors giving access to separate balcony. Seating area arranged around a woodburning stove and wall-mounted TV with DVD player.
Please note: When the property is full to capacity of 4 guests the number of additional infants under 2yrs is restricted to no more than one.


Lower garden behind annexe mainly laid to lawn.

  • Included: bed linen, bath towels, heating and electricity.  Travel cot and high chair available on request (guests provide own cot bedding)
