This lovely holiday cottage is utterly delightful, tucked away in a peaceful valley in the folds of rolling Devon hills, a haven of seclusion and privacy and a real hideaway. Attached on one side to a 17th century farmhouse, the cottage is entirely separate with its own front door, separate driveway and the spacious, most attractive sitting room has French doors onto a south facing flagstone terrace that overlooks a beautiful half acre orchard and fenced ponds. Here it is possible to enjoy a summer evening barbecue, or stoke up the fire for a cosy night in after an autumnal walk along the nearby coastal paths. Perfect for two or three people the cottage can accommodate up to 5 with the use of a sofa-bed. Lambs gambol in neighbouring fields and the resident chickens and ducks complete the rural idyll. Delicious home cooked meals can be provided on request. Pippin Cottage is close to some of South Devon's best surfing beaches with the beautiful estuary of the River Erme and Mothecombe beach a couple of miles away. The twin villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo with popular riverside pubs are on the nearby Yealm estuary, itself a boating haven for all manner of craft.
“On leaving we know what it's like to be thrown out of the Garden of Eden. Pippin is paradise...Can we come again please?” The O'Dyers, Amsterdam.
“Just the perfect location and a very special welcome. We loved the cottage at first sight and the scrummy cake and wine was a most unexpected delight. Thank you.” Jim and Rita.
