The beach, just steps from the front door, is the western end of the golden three mile stretch of shingle that is Slapton Sands. Flanked on one side by the freshwater lake of Slapton Ley, a national nature reserve, this beautiful area is a haven for naturalists, bird watchers, walkers and beach lovers alike. Kayaks can be rented from the beach, as well as other water sports equipment. After an energetic day on the beach or walking the Coastal Path take your ease from the comfort of this family home on the terrace and watch the ships on the horizon, or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sunshine on the raised decking, overlooking the Ley. Separate shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC and a Victorian fireplace! Stairs to 2nd floor. Twin room with 2ft 6in beds that can be clip linked to form a double and views over the Ley. Further double bedroom with sea views and king size bed.
At the front of the cottage is a raised terrace area provided with picnic bench. To the rear is a courtyard enclosed by high double gates with parking for one car. Raised decking area provided with garden furniture and barbecue.
Parking: Parking: Off-road for one car (all year), plus on road in marked bays for a second for which a ticket is provided (April to September). This also allows parking in many other South Hams council car parks.
