Bridge Park Cottage is conveniently located close to Kingsbridge in South Devon, at the head of the Salcombe estuary and is a spacious and comfortable family house nestled in a valley that leads down to Bowcombe creek. This pretty stretch of tree lined water runs under Bowcombe bridge and into the beautiful Kingsbridge and Salcombe estuary. This sheltered tidal waterway is a haven for wildlife and a Mecca for boating enthusiasts with every type of watersport available. The cottage comes with a tidal mooring suitable for boats up to 4 metres, so guests can bring their own boats or kayaks and drift down to the vibrant town of Salcombe with its golden beaches or head a short way upstream to the quayside at Kingsbridge where you can tie up  alongside the Crabshell Inn for a delicious meal and some liquid refreshment.  The property has a large sunny lounge, a spacious farmhouse style kitchen/diner and four comfortable bedrooms - two en-suite, as well as a sheltered garden and plenty of parking. Apart from the estuary and the family beaches that abound in this area there are some lovely coastal and country walks and a short drive brings you into the bustling market town of Kingsbridge with all the amenities required for a family holiday including a cinema and sport centre with swimming pool. Further afield are the surfing beaches of Bantham and Bigbury, the historic naval port of Dartmouth, Dartmoor National Park and the Celtic county of Cornwall. So, not too much time for relaxing then?

Hallway and steps down to large kitchen/diner fitted with Rayburn with two hot plates and ovens (turned off during summer period), ceramic hob and eye level oven and grill, dishwasher, two fridges, deep freeze and microwave. Large dual aspect lounge with oak flooring, two sofas surrounding a feature open Tavistock stone fireplace as well as two armchairs and a beanbag that face the garden with views over the lane of the surrounding countryside. TV and DVD.  Cloakroom off hallway with WC hand basin and washing machine. From kitchen stairs to separate double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed, fitted wardrobe and dressing table. En suite bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver light. Door to rear sun terrace. From hallway stairs to landing. Dual aspect master bedroom with 5ft double bed, wardrobe with drawers. En suite bathroom with bath, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail, shaver point and chest of drawers. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds and fitted wardrobe. Twin bedroom with 3ft single beds, chest of drawers and hanging rail. Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point.


Sheltered front lawn overlooking lane and surrounding countryside. Steps up through safety gate to higher lawn terrace (young children must be accompanied as there is a drop). Steps lead up around the back of the house to paved sun terrace equipped with garden table and chairs. Steps down to smaller gravelled terrace with coffee table and chairs.

Parking: For up to three cars or two cars and a boat trailer. Additional on lane parking available a short distance from the house.

Mooring: Buoy mooring for boats up to 12ft at New Bridge, Bowcombe half a mile from the property.
