We're a pet friendly inn ideal for walking and activity breaks, situated close to Wainwright's Coast to Coast trail and the Howgill Fells. The Pennine Journey Long Distance Path passes right through our beer garden! Enjoy delicious locally sourced pub meals and the finest selection of Yorkshire and Cumbrian ales in our in-house bar and restaurant. Packed lunches are happily supplied on request and the inn is ideal for celebrations and wedding receptions with a function room available holding up to 40 guests.
Five stylish letting rooms are available, all with en-suite facilities, flatscreen colour TVs, Iphone and iPod docking station, alarm clocks, hairdryers, tea/ coffee making facilities, fine Christy Hydrangea bed throws and curtains, plus HoMedics foot spas. Room choice includes three doubles, two twins and a spacious kings-size double. Beds feature luxury white Egyptian cotton duvet covers and duvets are Christy Goose Feather or Christy Just Like Down. Generous full Cumbrian breakfasts are included in B&B booking and optional evening meals are served daily in our pet friendly restaurant and bar lounge from 6pm to 9pm (evening meal pre-booking recommended).
Children are welcome in the bar area when accompanied by an adult whilst food is served until 9pm. The Inn is ideal for walking holidays with dogs. Pets are welcome for a nominal fee of just £5 per night per dog and dog baskets are available by request - dogs are not permitted on beds or furniture. Ample free parking is available in our own car park and further onsite facilities include our Walker's Tea Room open across the summer season.
