Set in one of the most spectacular locations in the North Lakes, Lane Head Farm is a charming 18th century former farmhouse overlooked by the striking Blencartha mountain range.
Located only 10 minutes from Ullswater and Keswick, we boast the ideal destination for exploring the Lake District National Park and offer guests luxurious and stylish en-suite accommodation to come home to. Our seven luxury guest rooms are individually designed and all include an en-suite bathroom or shower room. We have four standard double bedrooms, a twin room and two romantic four poster rooms.
All rooms include a flat screen digital TV, radio alarm clocks, a hairdryer, a well stocked hospitality tray with fair trade products and complimentary Duck Island toiletries. Larger four poster rooms include complimentary mineral water and home-made biscuits.
Mornings are leisurely and relaxed with breakfasts served between 8am-9am in our beamed dining room. Full English breakfast is freshly cooked to order each morning and we also provide other special breakfast dishes included Smoker Kippers, Haddock, scrambled eggs, pancakes and eggs Benedict.
There is also a continental style buffet and a wide range of hot beverages. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with prior arrangements.
Bed linen and towels are provided on your arrival. We offer a range of pet friendly rooms and allow a small to medium sized dog in the rooms. Please contact us for further details.
Ten minutes from the guesthouse in either direction will take you towards Ullswater or Keswick.
Aira Force waterfalls, Pooley Bridge and the quaint Cumbrian villages of Glenridding and Patterdale are set around the magnificent Ullswater lake with truly unique and unspoilt countryside surroundings.
Keswick is a traditional market town and a honey pot for outdoor activities, unique shopping experiences and hidden cafes and restaurants. This area gives access to the Central and South Lakes villages including Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere.
Closer to your base, the guest house is located on the Coast to Coast cycle trail and boasts an abundance of walking routes heading up Blencartha and Skiddaw or Helvellyn and Catstycam on the other side of the valley.
Rooms are ready at 3pm on the day of arrival, guests arriving earlier are welcome to check in and drop off their bags. Rooms must be vacated by 10 30am on the day of departure. Last check in is 9pm and we ask that anyone arriving after 6pm call us to give a rough arrival time. We do not allow children under 10 years old.
