Situated in the vibrant market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Swiss Court Guest House provides 4 Star accommodation surrounded by dramatic Lakeland fells including Skiddaw and Borrowdale.
We provide an attentive service with a warm and friendly atmosphere, a range of comfortable guest rooms and delicious breakfasts served daily.
Our guest house is only a short stroll from a number of restaurant, shops, galleries and a huge array of walking and cycling opportunities.
Our five en-suite guest rooms boasts elevated views over the rooftops of Keswick towards Skiddaw, Borrowdale and Newlands. Rooms comprise two double rooms, two singles and a twin bedded room which can be presented as a double with king size bed on request.
Individually designed and providing all the comfort of home, each room is equipped with Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV with Freeview, a well stocked hospitality tray, bottled mineral water, a hairdryer, individual thermostats for heating and heated towel rails in the en-suite.
For those with a hearty appetite we offer a Full Cumbrian breakfast, cooked fresh to order using locally sourced free range ingredients.
We also have a number of lighter options including smoke salmon, eggs, croissants and porridge.
A breakfast buffet of cereals, yoghurts, toasts, preserves and fresh fruit are available alongside hot beverages and fruit juices.
We are able to cater for special dietary requirements with prior notification and if you have planned to set off early for a long hike or day trip, we are able to provide you with a bacon or sausage sandwich to eat on the way.
There are three car parking spaces available on a first come basis. If necessary there is a public car park opposite which is free between 7pm and 8am and there is also some free street parking nearby. Sorry – we are unable to accommodate pets.
Check in is available between 4pm and 9pm and rooms must be vacated by 10 30am on the day of departure.
Keswick is situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park and is a hub for outdoor adventure and activities. The area is very popular for mountain biking and cycling being situated on the Tour of Britain route.
Keswick is full of independent shops, restaurants, boutiques and galleries and has a fantastic and lively market square every Thursday and Saturday. There are a wide range of outdoor shops and stores to suit all types of outdoor activities.
Travelling along the A66, either west from the M6 or East from Workington, you will reach the Crosthwaite roundabout at Keswick, take the exit signposted Keswick and Borrowdale.
Pass the hospital on your left and at the junction at the end of the road turn left. Head into Keswick and at the mini-roundabout go straight over.
Once over the next pelican crossing and round the sharp left-hand bend Swiss Court will be directly in front of you before the road swings right.
Parking is immediately in front and there are two large public car-parks just a very short walk away.
