Situated in the heart of the beautiful market town of Keswick, Littlefield Bed and Breakfast is set just a five minute level walk from the town centre amenities and within easy reach of Derwentwater. We pride ourselves on providing excellent hospitality, comfortable accommodation and helpful advice on walks and cycle rides in the surrounding area. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement at an extra charge and rates include a full English breakfast.
We offer two standard ensuite rooms, Rydal and Buttermere, along with two Superior rooms named Grasmere and Derwentwater. Rydal is a double room on the first floor with wonderful views towards Latrigg and Blencathra to be enjoyed through the two windows. There is also an ensuite shower room with large corner cubicle. Buttermere is our double ensuite bedroom set on the second floor which affords stunning views to Skiddaw and across to the east of Blencathra. This room also has an ensuite shower room. Grasmere is set on the first floor and has three windows facing the front of Littlefield. It can be presented as either a super king-size double room or twin and has a ensuite shower room. Our final guest room, Derwentwater, is a king size double room set on the second floor with views of Skiddaw from the bathroom window. There are also two windows overlooking the front of the house. All our guest rooms have a TV, tea/ coffee making facilities and our superior rooms also have a DVD player.
A locally sourced full English breakfast is included in our room rates and this is accompanied by a range of fresh fruit, juices, cereal and yoghurt. An earlier breakfast can be provided by arrangement and we can also cater for special diets and vegetarians.
Drying facilities can be provided at Littlefield B&B and we also have extensive maps for walking/ cycling plus guides for all abilities which are available for loan during your stay. Packed lunches can be made up by arrangement and flasks can be filled free of charge.
Dogs are accepted at an extra charge of £5 per dog per night.
Single occupancy is welcome subject to availability. Please note that we are closed December 24th, 25th and 26th.
Keswick is a superb base for exploring the Lake District and home to an excellent choice of outdoor clothing shops, independent stores, a cinema, four museums plus art and craft galleries. Enjoy boat trips on Derwentwater or visit other attractions including the 4000 year old stone circle at Castlerigg and the Theatre by the Lake. Alternatively, visit one of the weekly markets held around the 12th century Moot Hall or take a trip to Bassenthwaite, Thirlmere, Buttermere or Ullswater which are all set closeby.
