The Watermill Inn in Ings is a fantastic place to stay just a few miles from Windermere, and so within reach of many things to do and attractions to visit. Located above the pub, which has been voted as pub of the year by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) numerous times; our rooms are all comfortable and ideal for a relaxing break in the Lake District. As well as having a bar stocked with 16 superb real ales, we also serve delicious meals in our restaurant area and we change our specials on a daily basis, so there’s always something new to try.
We have eight en-suite bedrooms, six of which are located on the first floor and two on the second floor (unfortunately, we do not have any ground floor bedrooms). The rooms consist of two family/twin rooms, five doubles and one single room. Each comfortable guest room is complete with central heating, a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All of our room tariffs include breakfast, and children are welcome. We are happy to allow dogs in the main bar and in some of the guest rooms for just £3 per dog, per night, and for each night that you stay here with your dog we'll donate £1 to the Dog's Trust. The inn is strictly non smoking throughout. If you're visiting with family we can provide you with a cot and high chair. Meals are served from midday until 9pm and we have vegetarian alternatives available. Call now to make your booking.
We are set in a peaceful location and welcome those after an activity holiday, whether you plan on touring the landscape by car, bike or on foot. The popular Lake District villages of Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick and Hawkshead all lie within easy reach and there are a great number of fabulous walks and pleasant cycle ways criss crossing the surrounding Lakeland countryside. Whether you're staying for one night or a week, you can be sure of a good night's rest and an enjoyable stay at the Watermill Inn.
