About this Pub Accommodation

Overlooking the Kent Estuary and in an ideal location for exploring the South Lakes, Ye Olde Fighting Cocks is a charming country inn with superb bedrooms that boast fantastic views over the estuary and Lakeland peaks beyond.

The restaurant serves a range of traditional home cooked dishes with open fires lit in the winter months and a fully stocked bar.

Free parking and Wi-Fi are available to all guests.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Our luxury barn conversion suites, single rooms and double rooms all feature en-suite facilities and make an ideal base for exploring the Lake District and Arnside AONB.  We also have ground floor suites with disabled access.

Each room has a TV, hairdryer, trouser press, radio alarm clock and a welcome tray for your convenience.  

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our restaurant each morning between 8am and 9am and includes a Full English or choice of lighter cooked options.

Other Facilities

We have a car park on site with free parking for guests and a secure barn for cycle storage.

The terraced garden has fantastic views over the estuary, where you can watch the Arnside Bore race up the river at high tide.

Availability

Children over the age of 10 are welcome and pets may be allowed on request -  please contact us ahead of booking to discuss.

Check in is available between 4pm and 10 30pm on the day of arrival and rooms must be vacated between 8am and 10 30am.

Directions

To get to the hotel, please follow these directions or use the map opposite;

Leave the M6 at Junction 36 following the signs for The Furness Pennisulars and South Lakes.

Take the first junction joining the A590. Take the next junctions signed posted Milnthorpe. Head into Milnthorpe when you reach the traffic lights get into the right hand lane turning right to Arnside.

Follow this road passing the estuary until you reach a railway bridge turning right travel along this road until you reach Ye Olde Fighting Cocks. There is a car park for guests use.
