About this Hotel

Considered to be one of the premier hotels in the Lake District, The Grange occupies an impressive location, offers warm hospitality, excellent service, first class cuisine and a touch of grandeur just for good measure. Grange-over-Sands is a quaint little town filled with beautiful gardens, interesting shops and the unique mile-long Victorian promenade. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel and it's free for guests to use. Room service is 24 hours and served from the lounge bar menu.

The Grange Hotel has 58 well-appointed guest rooms. Each features satellite TV, a direct dial telephone, en-suite bathroom, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

If you fancy adding a bit of elegance to your stay, why not upgrade to a front-facing room with panoramic views of the bay or an executive room that looks out on to woodland. The luxury doesn't stop there either, boutique suites offer guests four poster beds and elegant chaises longues to truly make you feel like royalty.

For those with limited mobility there are rooms specifically tailored to your needs with spacious wet rooms and wheelchair access.

Served from 7.30 - 9.30am (Monday to Friday) and 8.00 - 10.00am (Saturday and Sunday).

The menu has a range of hot and cold options including: cereal, fresh fruit, juice, croissants and toast with preserves, and traditional fare like bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, tomatoes and baked beans from the buffet. Porridge, kippers and smoked haddock can also be ordered.

Weddings: What better way to spend the most special day of your lives than at a quality four star hotel in the beautiful Lake District. The Grange offers the use of all the function suites (for up to 200 guests), wedding breakfast and evening buffet options for food, bridal packages and special touches like floral decorations, a jazz band, harpist, pianist or string quartet, canapes and drinks on arrival and much, much more.

Conferences: Staff are on hand to provide a solution that meets your needs whether that's a small conference or something much bigger. The hotel is set in an elevated position overlooking the town of Grange-over-Sands and offers wonderful views, terraced gardens and woodlands, it's the perfect place for you to bring your company.

Health and Leisure Suite: Open from 7.00am to 10pm daily, guests can relax and unwind with a heated swimming pool with aqua jets, a roomy jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gymnasium, hairdressing salon and beauty salon.

RestaurantEnjoy elegant, candle-lit surroundings in the Carriages restaurant each evening. The five course table d'hote is highly recommended and the wine list has been carefully selected to suit every palate.

The Lake District has a wealth of places to visit and attractions to experience including: Cartmel, Bowness, Grange-over-Sands, Kendal, the Beatrix Potter Experience, The Laurel and Hardy Museum, Abbot Hall Art Gallery and the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. It's fair to say you won't ever be stuck for something to do during your stay. 


By road: From the M6 Junction 36 (Kendal/South Lakes), follow the A590 to Grange. The hotel is directly opposite Grange Railway Station.

By rail: Direct links to Manchester, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Preston.
