Brimming with olde worlde charm, Clanaborough Cottage is an attractive 400 year old thatched cottage nestled in the rolling hills of the South Hams countryside. Perfectly placed for both countryside and coastal exploration with its own large enclosed garden with a climbing frame, shed storage and a range of outdoor family games.
The cottage is pet friendly and we welcome up to two well behaved dogs to join you on your holiday. Up to three cars can be parked off road outside the cottage.
This charming cottage has a small sitting room with an open fire place and a second larger living room area with beamed ceilings, farmhouse style bespoke furnishings and a log burning stove.
The kitchen is equipped with all essentials for a self catering holiday including a washing machine, microwave, fridge and electric oven.
The cottage comprises three comfortable bedrooms comprising a double bedroom, a bedroom with three single beds and a small third bedroom with one single bed.
Rooms share access to a three piece family bathroom with bathtub and shower over.
The large garden is enclosed and has a garden shed for storage. The shed is stocked with a BBQ and a huge array of family garden games including a croquet set, clock golf, footballs and a badminton set. For children there is a climbing frame and swing to be enjoyed.
There are car parking spaces for two to three cars and additional parking space in the lay-by 100 yards from the cottage.
Bed linen and towels are supplied for your arrival and there are plenty of extra blankets if needed.
We welcome up to two well behaved dogs in the cottage and ask that they be kept downstairs and off the furniture.
Changeover day for weekly bookings at the property is Sunday.
Check in is from 3:30 pm and the cottage must be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure.
Short breaks are available throughout most of the year but are only available on a last minute basis in the high season.
The beautiful sandy beaches of Bigbury Bay are only 4 miles from the cottage and make for a great family day out throughout the seasons.
Our cottage is ideal for keen walkers and hikers with striking countryside and dramatic coastal Cliffside walks surrounding and The Dartmoor National Park is only 12 miles from the cottage.
The Clanaborough circular walking route is a local favourite and for those who want to explore the coast, Prawle Port and Bolt Head offer breathtaking sea views and cliff walks.
Plymouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe are within 20 miles of the cottage and have a wealth of shops, eateries and attractions to enjoy.
