Hillside Cottage offers comfortable self catering accommodation in Ambleside at the head of Lake Windermere. The cottage has two bedrooms, sleeping 4, and is the perfect base from which to explore this fantastic part of the country.
This traditional 18th century cottage retains much of it's original charm and character and has a welcoming feel. The cottage is perfect for a romantic break or a family holiday in the Lake District. The cottage boasts panoramic views across the surrounding countryside and it is the ideal retreat.
There is a traditionally decorated, open- plan living, dining and kitchen area with comfortable sofas, flame gas fire, TV with a DVD player and a music centre.
The kitchen is fully- equipped with modern appliances including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washer dryer.
This cottage sleeps 4 guests in a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom. There is also a modern bathroom with an electric shower over the bath.
At Hillside Cottage there is a large front garden with outdoor furniture, ideal for dining al fresco, and and there is private parking for one car within the gates.
From the kitchen, you can look out onto the meadow and watch the sheep grazing.
All bed linen, duvets and pillows are provided, however we ask guests to please bring their own towels. Unfortunately we cannot cater for pets. All heating inclusive. Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am.
A deposit of a third of the total cost of your stay is required to secure your booking.

Ambleside is a great base from which to explore this fantastic part of the country. The cottage is just a five minute walk from the centre of the village which has shops, pubs and restaurants. Ambleside is ideal for walkers of all abilities whether you are looking for a gentle stroll or a more challenging climb.
There are plenty of stunning Lakeland villages to explore, all with individual charm. You can catch the boat from Ambleside to Bowness on Windermere where you can explore the Beatrix Potter Museum and a number of specialist shops.
