Cornmill Stable Holiday Cottages offer the perfect North Yorkshire luxury retreat in the delightful surroundings of The Cornmill. The present mill was built in the 18th Century, but there are records of working mills around here in the Doomsday Book, so the site has real historic interest. If you fancy a spot of fishing there are brown trout, grayling and escapee rainbow trout in the River Dove which runs alongside our paddocks (please ensure you have a National Rod Licence to take advantage of our fishing rights).
Unfortunately we cannot accept pets and we are a non-smoking site for the comfort of our guests.
The converted Stable block, which has been lovingly and sensitively converted, is now two idyllic mews cottages, both of which sleep two adults. On the upper floor is an open-plan living room with a dining area and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric oven and gas hob.
On the ground floor they both have a large king size bedroom and a bathroom with bath and power-shower. One cottage has the option of twin beds or king-size bed.
Relax in the garden, where you can barbeque, or stroll through the adjoining paddock.
Secure storage available for bikes. If you fancy a break from cooking, we can offer full English breakfasts in the Cornmill opposite.
We make the perfect location for walking on the North York Moors, or visiting the coast or the wealth of abbeys, castles and stately homes in the area, and it will be our pleasure to arrange golf, horse-riding, or other activities.
THE CORNMILL is on the North side of the A170, 1km east of Kirkbymoorside, 10kms west of Pickering. From the A1, take the A168 to Thirsk, the A170 to Scarborough and Helmsley. 500 metres after Kirkbymoorside roundabout take the left, turn to Keldholme, then fork right and THE CORNMILL is facing you.
