Set in the striking natural surroundings of Calderdale Way and Hebden Bridge, The Hare and Hounds country inn provides homely en-suite accommodation and an incredibly welcoming atmosphere.
Based 900 feet above sea level with stunning panoramic views, our unique 150-year-old Inn is an excellent location for exploring Yorkshire and has its own bar/ restaurant area providing top quality meals, an extensive beverage list and hand pulled beer on tap.
Guests are able to park for free throughout their stay and the inn has Wi-Fi access throughout the bar and rooms.
Our five individually designed en-suite rooms are ideal for couples, families and single travellers. Each room is fully furnished with ample wardrobe and drawer space, a remote control TV and a well stocked hospitality tray of teas and coffees.
En-suite shower rooms are fully tiled and inclusive of fluffy towels and complementary toiletries. Many rooms boast retained period features including exposed ceiling beams and stone work.
If you are celebrating a special occasion, we are able to provide champagne and chocolates in your room on your arrival. Please note that we are unable to accommodate pets and that our establishment is strictly non-smoking.
Breakfasts are served between 8 30am and 9am in our dining room and guests are welcome to help themselves a selection of cereals, juices, yoghurts and hot beverages.
We serve a huge variety of cooked and continental breakfast options including waffles, croissants, poached eggs, smoked kippers and porridge.
Full English breakfasts are cooked to order each morning and we also offer a vegetarian alternate as standard. Other dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notification.
Here at the Hare and Hounds Inn, we provide delicious and fresh home cooked dishes throughout the week and over the weekend in our bar/restaurant area.
Our menu includes fish and meat dishes, a generous vegetarian selection and an ever changing specials board. Children are very well catered for with their own menu and we also have a sweet menu with a selection of delicious classic desserts.
The Inn is located an easy stroll from the little countryside town of Hebden Bridge with its wide range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. There are also a vast range of historic castles and sites in the surrounding area to explore.
We are only a 20 minute drive from Howarth and a further 15 minutes takes you towards Skipton and further afield will take you towards the ‘gateway’ to the Lake District – Kendal.
Short and weekend breaks are available throughout the year. Check in is between 1pm and 10pm and rooms must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
From Hebden Bridge:
Follow the signs for Old Town Golf Course, and the Birchcliffe Centre, after a quarter of a mile look for a left hand turn sign posted Sandy Gate, and Calder way. Follow this road past all the houses, going up all the time, look for a right hand turn (it is a short single lane road) at the top of that road turn left and drive until you see the Hare and Hounds. Time from Hebden Bridge 5 mins.
