Welcome to The Old Granary in Harrop Fold, a delightful little hamlet located close to Bolton-by-Bowland. The Old Granary has been converted from an old stone-built property and is ideal for romantic breaks in the Ribble Valley. We are ideally placed for trips to the Yorkshire Dales, and our cottage features stunning views over the surrounding landscape.
Our four holiday cottages provide an idyllic base for exploring the local area and can accommodate groups of up to 15 people when booked together.
There is a fully fitted kitchen with modern appliances, utensils and cookware. The living area at the cottage is comfortable, and you'll love being able to sit back and unwind while you watch TV or DVD. For those of you interested in keeping in touch while you're on holiday, or even finishing up a bit of work, WiFi is available so don’t forget your own laptop.
The Old Granary boasts one large double bedroom, perfect for long lie ins while you're on holiday. There is also a bathroom with a bath and a shower over the bath.
This is a pet friendly cottage with pets welcome at a charge of £25 per booking. The Old Granary has a clock in the gable end which does not chime and is totally silent which tells you the time whilst sitting in the garden, in case you think time has stood still in this ancient hamlet!
Weekly bookings are accepted throughout the year. Normal changeover day is Saturday. Variable changeover days and short breaks are accepted out of season or at the last minute.
The busy, attractive market town of Settle is just 12 miles away, where you can take the famous Settle Carlisle railway that takes you on a journey through the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. The historic town of Skipton is 20 miles away and Blackpool, the Lake District, and the stunning hill pass to Lancaster are all easily accessible by car in less than 1 hour.
Harrop Fold is signposted off the Grindleton to Slaidburn road, near its junction with the road from Holden and Bolton by Bowland. Continue to the end of this single-track road, passing Harrop Chapel on the right. On arriving in Harrop Fold you will see a long white house on the left. The road then turns sharp right and my house is some 20 yards directly in front of you, with the brown garden gate. The cottages are close by.
