Bluefolds self-catering cottages are situated high on Ben Rinnes on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park in Moray Speyside. They sleep 2-4, 2-6 and 2-8. Travelling up beyond the hill farm to get to your accommodation is all part of the holiday experience. You’ll arrive at a wonderful get-away with remarkable views, stunning light and time to appreciate the sounds of nature.
Here, you’ll find four beautifully restored, south-facing, traditional granite cottages with fully-equipped kitchens and free Wi-Fi. And, because there’s nothing like a real fire for that warmth and homely atmosphere you crave after a day in the hills, there is a multi-fuel stove in each of our cottages for you to enjoy. Your pets are also very welcome.
Our cottages are in a prime location in the north-east of Scotland with direct access to the hills. The Moray Coast with its endless sandy beaches is just a short journey away, as are the Speyside Distilleries and numerous Scottish Castles. Equidistant from Dufftown, Tomintoul and Aberlour, this area provides fantastic exploring opportunities including the Cairngorms National Park.
Patio doors lead to patios or courtyards with outdoor furnishings and the enclosed garden beyond. From here you are overlooking the Glenlivet countryside, the Glenlivet distillery and the Cairngorm mountains.
Bluefolds is an ideal location for walking, wildlife and whisky. There are a range of hiking trails on the Glenlivet Crown Estate. Forest trails are nearby as well as Ben Rinnes our local Corbett. There is the challenging 18 hole Golf course at Dufftown and the acclaimed 9 hole Ballindalloch Castle Golf course at Ballindalloch. For those seeking history, heritage, whisky and days out, there are plenty of local attractions within a short drive of the cottages including:
