Heather Cottage is a charming New Forest Bed and Breakfast in the peaceful village of Sway, only 3 miles from Lymington and just 5 miles from the coast. Our National Park location is a truly special area featuring the famous free roaming New Forest ponies as well as donkeys, cattle and pigs. New Forest ponies roam right past our B&B, and from here you can walk directly into open forest or drive 15 minutes to the harbour, sea wall and beaches. Sway village has a well stocked general store, butchers, a newsagent, hairdresser, a chemist and a doctor's surgery in addition to restaurants, hotels and pubs (the nearest pub is only 8 minutes' walk away).

All rooms have free WiFi internet access, a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, towels, dressing gowns, fresh flowers and tea/ coffee making facilities. Rooms also have space for a travel cot.
What better way to start the day than with a delicious breakfast served in the dining room. Quality ingredients are locally sourced and organic where possible. Vegetarian options are always available and if you have any special dietary requirements then please let us know in advance.
We are within walking distance of the train station and we can have your luggage brought to the cottage.
Bicycles can be ordered and delivered by arrangement from The Bicycle Barn or hired from Brockenhurst rail station. Your hosts are very willing to help you plan your days, show you maps, and advise.
You may use the house WiFi service which is free of charge. Guests are welcome to relax in front of the log fire in the wintertime and, when the sun is shining, you can sit out in the garden or in the conservatory.
One dog is allowed to stay with guests at Heather Cottage B&B and as the boundary for the New Forest is just a few hundred feet from us there are some fantastic dog walks available.

Check-in is usually between 5.00pm to 6.30pm. Please contact us if you plan to arrive at another time. Check-out on departure day is by 10.30am. The Bed and Breakfast is open all year round except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The New Forest village of Brockenhurst is just ten minutes drive away, as is Lymington with its Georgian High Street, sailing harbour and interesting shops and Saturday market.
Lovers of outdoor activities will find no shortage of things to do. As well as unlimited walking, horse riding, bird watching, golf, fishing, cycling, wagon rides and boating. Beaulieu Abbey and Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens, Hurst and Calshot Castles, Paulton's Adventure Park, Marwell Zoo, The Dairy Farm and leisure centres are within easy driving distance.
The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester are less than an hour away as are Bournemouth, Southampton and Portsmouth, all with shopping malls, theatre/cinema entertainment and ferries to the continent.
Exit the M27 at Cadnam, proceed along A377 through Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst. As you enter Brockenhurst take the B3055 to the right opposite Carey's Manor Hotel and Senspa. Continue on the B3055 until you see the village name sign in Sway.
Turn left immediatly after this into Pitmore lane. Chapel Lane is the third lane on the right opposite a bus stop. Heather Cottage is the fourth house on the left.
