Set in the shape of a traditional Sussex barn, The Lodge of Winchelsea offers award-winning guest accommodation just 1.5 miles from Winchelsea beach. Enjoy a peaceful stay in one of our twenty eight comfortable guest rooms, relax in our elegant bar and dine on a tempting range of cuisine at our bistro style restaurant. We also offer function space for private parties or weddings and families with children of all ages are most welcome.
Our range of accommodation includes single, double and twin guest rooms. We also have treble rooms with one double and one single bed, triples with three single beds and family rooms with one double bed and a set of bunk beds for two children under twelve years old. All guest rooms are well equipped with an ensuite, flat screen TV, hospitality tray, hair-dryer and complimentary toiletries. Each rooms is different in style and layout so please contact us so we can assist you in choosing the perfect one for your stay.
Room rates include a continental breakfast and a full cooked option is available from our breakfast menu at an extra charge of £5.95 for residents. The restaurant is open seven days a week serving a full a la carte menu in the evenings and a delicious weekly Sunday carvery. Snacks and light bites are also served and our younger guests have their own Kiddie menu. After your evening meal, our licensed bar is the ideal place to unwind with a glass or wine or beer. We also have an outdoor seating area where you can relax and take in the wonderful country views.
Our function room is ideal for a range of events and we can host civil ceremonies for up to 55 guests. The main Lodge can also sit 80 for a formal meal or 150 people for a party. Packages including venue hire, food and use of 26 bedrooms are available. Business meetings are also welcome and The Winchelsea Suite can seat up to 30 people for presentations.
Walking and other leisure groups are welcome and we can provide food and room packages at competitive prices.
The Lodge is perfect for exploring the beautiful 1066 countryside and visiting nearby towns including Rye, Hastings, Battle and Camber Sands. A great choice of outdoor activities including windsurfing, sailing, golf, horse riding, tennis and cycling can all be enjoyed nearby. Alternatively, visit some of the area's historical attractions including Camber Castle, Martello Tower and Ypres Tower.
