Aite Beathag is a luxurious and spacious bungalow sleeping up to 8 guests. Situated right on the shore in the sleepy seaside village of 'Aignish' in Point, the property is ideal for those looking for a private and peaceful Scottish retreat, yet is only a ten minute drive from the town of Stornoway. The bungalow has stunning sea views from every window and sits on a working croft, mere seconds from the beach. Spacious accommodation includes a living, dining and utility area.
Lewis is an island of outstanding natural beauty with its dramatic coastline and beautiful beaches. Many visitors come to the Isle of Lewis to see the Callanish Standing Stones dating back 4000 years. The island is also perfect for walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching.
Within the bungalow you will find a spacious 25 metre square living room with comfortable seating (that can also be converted to a bed for an extra two guests), an LCD colour television with Freeview, DVD player and stereo.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and breakfast bar.
There is also a separate utility room with a sink, washer dryer, ironing facilities and outdoors there is space to hang clothes for drying.
The bungalow has three bedrooms, one of which has the luxury of an en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room fitted to the same high quality as the main bathroom. There is a second double bedroom and a twin room.
There are magnificent sea views, especially from the living room as there is a 3 metre cinema-like window.
For those who enjoy wildlife you may be lucky enough to see seals, dolphins and otters. Eagles have also been known to make regular visits. There are numerous coach trips available around Lewis or you can explore the island yourself.
Nearby Stornoway is certainly well worth a visit, the capital of the Western Isles. Here you will find tennis courts, a golf course, a restaurant, shops, a museum, a castle and supermarkets.
Aite Beathag is only a 10 minute drive or bus ride from Stornoway via the Braigh road. Guests have easy access to all town centre shops and services. The location is perfect for touring the island, close to beautiful Bayble beach and favourite birdwatching spot - the loch at Tiumpean Head featuring the spectacular cliff top lighthouse. The holiday home is located on my father's working croft containing arable land, stunning seascapes, sheep and hens.
