Welcome to the King's Head in Canterbury. Set within easy walking distance of the city centre attractions, our charming 15th century pub offers an excellent range of facilities for business stays or couples on a relaxing city break.
We have three guest rooms including two double guest rooms and a third twin. Each is well equipped with a flat screen TV with freesat service, a hospitality tray, alarm clock with iPhone dock, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, electric fan and central heating. Ironing facilities can be provided on request. Single occupancy stays are welcome.
All rates include breakfast which is served from 7.30am to 9am Monday to Friday and from 8am to 9am at weekends. To start, choose from a range of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and juices which are followed by either our full cooked breakfast or one of our specials. These includes a choice of eggs or beans on toast, kippers or smoked haddock and poached eggs. Special diets can be catered for and all are accompanied by Yorkshire tea or coffee, white or brown toast plus a range of jams and honey.
Main meals are served from 6pm to 9.30pm and from Midday to 4pm then 7pm to 9pm on a Sunday. Bar snacks are also available between 6pm and 9.30pm weekdays, Saturdays Midday to 3pm and 6pm to 9.30pm and Sundays Midday to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
We have an outdoor seating area which includes a heated smoking area.
We serve a range of local real ales and ciders including Kentish Pip.
Free parking and free Wi-Fi service are available for guest's use.
Our pub is set a short walk from Canterbury East train station, the Wincheap Retail Park and within easy reach of both the A28 and A2 road links. City centre amenities are a ten minute walk away.
