About this Hotel

Built in 1503, The Sun Hotel in Canterbury was made famous by Charles Dickens and offers a superb base for a short break to this historic city. The famous Cathedral is a short walk away and we are also located close to the Marlowe Theatre.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Many of our guest rooms have romantic four poster beds and beautiful period features in keeping with the age of the property. They are also equipped with storage facilities, a TV, hair dryer and tea/ coffee making facilities. The Cathedral Suite can sleep up to three people and the Marlowe Suite is suitable for up to four. The Sun Room has a grand four poster bed and a luxurious spa bath complete with underwater lights.

A choice of either a cooked or continental breakfast is provided. Guests can also enjoy a range of other meals and snacks in our licensed tearooms along with one of our delicious cream teas.

Other Facilities

Cots and high chairs can be provided for children.
