Welcome to the Woolpack Inn, Chilham. Set in the beautiful 'Garden of England' on the A28, Ashford and Canterbury are both within easy reach of our charming 600 year old inn. The Woolpack Inn retains plenty of original features including exposed oak beams, inglenook fireplaces and even a friendly ghost, The Grey Lady. Enjoy relaxing in the cosy bar or indulge in a delicious, locally sourced meal in the restaurant before retiring to one of our well appointed 14 ensuite rooms.
Our choice of accommodation includes two four poster rooms each with a roll top bath and wonderful views. Three of our ground floor rooms offer access to a private garden area and these form our pet friendly accommodation. We also offer family rooms which can sleep either 3 or 6 people, five double rooms, three twin rooms and a single room. All are well equipped with full ensuite facilities & Freeview TV with Z beds or cots also provided on request. Some of our rooms are located in a former stable block away from the main buildings.
Our accommodation is dog friendly at an extra charge of £6 per night and we offer rooms with direct access into the garden. Dogs are welcome in the bar but not in the restaurant. Information on dog walks can be provided on request.
Our full English breakfast is available in the restaurant at a charge of £8 per person & includes farm fresh eggs, premium sausages, smoked back bacon & black pudding. We also offer a continental option at £6 per person or other options including kippers and poached eggs.
We offer a home-cooked menu in the restaurant with most of ingredients sourced locally. Enjoy fish straight of the morning boat for lunch, home-made steak & Masterbrew ale pie or for dessert, home-made strawberry shortcake. We also stock a range of local ales including Shepherd Neame, the Faversham brewers and pints of Spitfire and Masterbrew.
We have been awarded '4 stars' by Visit England and won a 'Highly Recommended' award at the 'Beautiful South Awards for Excellence' 2012 - 2013.
Our welcoming pub is located just of the A28 between Ashford and Canterbury. We are situated around a twelve minute drive from Canterbury which is five miles away and also set within easy reach of the North Kent coast town of Whitstable. Ashford is just over ten miles or around a 25 minute drive away.
