A brief stroll from the cottage will find you in the Heart of Whitby with enough activities and sights to keep you busy for weeks.
The porch at the front leads into a large lounge with beamed ceiling, feature exposed brickwork and traditional wooden floor. Five steps lead down to a similar sized kitchen/dining room. The lounge area is equipped with 32" television having Sky, DVD and video player in addition to a comprehensive library of books, maps, CDs, DVDs and games.
The fully fitted kitchen is complete with oven and hob, fridge with small freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. Free WiFi internet is provided.
Monkshaven Cottage has a double and twin bedroom to accommodate 4 people comfortably. We also provide a travel cot and high chair.

Visit the inspiration for Bram Stokers 'Dracula', Whitby Abbey which towers over the town and covers hundreds of years of history. Take a tour around Whitby which inspired Lewis Carroll in ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ and 'Through the Looking Glass'. Further afield guests can visit Scarborough and its seaside attractions. The Monkshaven Cottage offers an ideal location to explore the stunning and historic town and the Yorkshire Moors.
White Horse Yard is next to the White Horse and Griffin Hotel in cobbled Church St. The cottage is the first cottage on the left half way down the yard with the parking space in front.
