About these Holiday Cottages

Rated Excellent on TripAdvisor and Flipkey, Bumblewick Holiday Cottages are three beautiful properties within easy reach of Whitby and perfect for exploring the North York Moors.

Two cottages (Wren and Blackbird Cottages) are located in the peaceful hamlet of Iburndale on the edge of Sleights which has a handy station stop along the Esk Valley Railway and sits close to Grosmont, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Our third cottage, Chapel Cottage, is in the centre of Fylingthorpe village, which leads into Robin Hood's Bay. All cottages are an exquisite blend of modern luxury and traditional character, perfect for families, couples and year round walking holidays with pets.

Inside

All three cottages boast luxurious interior complete with high quality Laura Ashley throws, cushions and curtains and each cottage has complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout your stay.

Blackbird Cottage sleeping 4 guests is an artisan cottage gem hidden away down a country lane and is brimming with character features including sash windows and a snug lounge with exposed pine woodwork, a stone fireplace with cast iron gas stove and an airy morning room with family dining for up to 6 people. This property is also particularly suitable for guests wishing to bring their dog as it has traditional pine flooring in the lounge and access into an enclosed courtyard. The stairs leading up to the attic bedroom have the original steep cottage steps.

Quaint and cosy Wren Cottage is pet friendly and ideal for couples and families, sleeping 4 guests with a snug friendly lounge, small boot room, beamed ceilings and the wonderful feel of a bygone age.

Characterful and charming, Chapel Cottage sleeping 4 nestles in the heart of pretty Fylingthorpe village, which leads to Robin Hood’s Bay. This stunning property is a mix of 18th century charm and luxurious features including a stylish modern kitchen and homely lounge with exposed brick chimney and gas stove. Wesley is reputed to have preached here a number of times.
