Charmouth has hundreds of years of history, thatched cottages, pubs and shops to explore. Of course, the standout attraction is the Jurassic Coast which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a great family day out with a mix of sand and pebble beaches, fossils and plenty of swimming opportunities in the clean, safe sea. Guided walks are available.
The village acts as an ideal base for exploring Dorset, Devon and Somerset with Lyme Regis just a few miles away.
From the east: Take the A35 West from Dorchester. After 15 miles follow signs to Bridport and continue on the A35. After five miles take the left turning signposted for Charmouth and continue into the centre of the village. Turn left onto Lower Sea Lane and the guest house can be found 200 metres on the left.
From the north: Leave the M5 at Junction 25 and take the A358 through Chard and Axminster. Then turn left onto the A35 towards Dorchester. After five miles turn right and continue into the village centre. Turn right onto Lower Sea Lane and the guest house can be found 200 metres on the left.
