About Oakfold House Bed and Breakfast

Oakfold House is a beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast centrally situated in Bowness on Windermere just a short stroll from the lake, restaurants, inns and shops.  Built from Lakeland stone and dating from 1899, the building retains many original features.  We’re an Enjoy England 4 Star Gold Award-winner offering attentive service, warm hospitality and a friendly 'home from home' atmosphere.

The B&B is in a peaceful location perfect for exploring the National Park and only minutes from picturesque walks with spectacular fell views such as Biskey Howe and Orrest Head.  Walking guides and books are available in reception and various local tour operators will collect you direct from our door.  Please do just ask if you would like us to book tee times at nearby Windermere Golf Club.
