Old King Street Farm Cottages are two luxury 18th century barn conversions in the Golden Valley area of the Welsh Marches, a mere 12 miles from Hereford and Abergavenny. Beautifully restored and decorated throughout, 4 Star Pomona Cottage (sleeping 4) and The Cider House (5 Star, sleeps 2) are perfect for families and couples, retaining original features and with all modern comforts and essentials including cosy underfloor heating across ground floors, cots and highchairs available and WiFi internet access.
The location is stunning, midway between the Brecon Beacons National Park and Wye Valley AONB and a gateway into the Black Mountains. Amenities are conveniently close - a village with two great country inns, restaurants, a post office, butchers and a village shop is just half a mile away.
Why not enjoy a half day Llama trekking experience during your stay, heading off into our surrounding fields and the stunning Herefordshire and Black Mountains countryside. We also sell cottage and Llama experience gift vouchers - please do give us a call for more details. They make the perfect festive or special occasion gift!
We take our llamas out all year round and can usually accommodate yourself and your party even at short notice! Prices are per person, with one llama each or sharing a llama between two. Find more information on our website.
The two cottages sit within our ten acres of farmland and woods. Guests are welcome to enjoy our beautiful lakeside surroundings with a barbecue and picnic area.
We are only 12 miles from Hereford, home to the world's largest chained library and the famous Mappa Mundi medieval map of the world. Village inns and amenities are just half a mile away and popular tourist locations within easy reach include Abergavenny, Ludlow, Ross, Monmouth and Chepstow.
The cottages are surrounded by spectacular walking country, just a short distance from the Offa's Dyke Path, the Herefordshire Trail and the Marches Way. National Trust properties in the local area include Croft Castle, Berrington Hall and the Brockhampton Estate.
The two cottages can be interlinked via a door downstairs offering accommodation for larger groups of up to six guests. Browse our website or call us direct for up-to-date availability.
Short breaks are offered, minimum 3 night stays. 1 or 2 night stays may be available when combined with a llama trek - please do call us direct to discuss.
