Situated in the popular coastal town of Whitby, Prospect House is a pretty guesthouse providing a high standard of accommodation and Yorkshire hospitality to couples, tourists, walkers, golfers and cyclists.
We provide an attentive and friendly service in a clean home from home environment with a selection of en-suite bedrooms. Breakfasts are cooked fresh each morning and are sourced from local produce.
Whitby’s sandy beaches and bustling town centre are within a short walk of the guesthouse and we are ideal for anyone wanting to explore the North York Moors and Yorkshire coast line.
Guests are welcome to use our private parking facilities (please note that spaces are limited) and our free Wi-Fi service. There is a bus stop nearby for those not bringing a car.
Our three double en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated and generously sized with high quality bed linens and fresh towels provided for your arrival.
Each room has a TV with DVD player, hairdryer, a well stocked hospitality tray and an en-suite bathroom with shower facilities and complimentary toiletries.
Ironing facilities are available on request. We cater for adults only and are unable to accommodate pets.
Breakfast is served each morning in our dining room between 8 15am and 9 15am and is locally sourced whenever possible. We offer a Full Yorkshire breakfast and a range of lighter cooked options of your choice including poached eggs on toasted muffins, kippers or smoked salmon.
Guests are very welcome to help themselves to cereals, toasts and hot beverages whilst we prepare and cook breakfasts.
We have a vegetarian breakfast option available and can cater for special dietary requirements with prior notification.
Check in is available between 4pm and 6pm on arrival day and rooms must be vacated by 10am on departure day.
Prospect House is perfectly situated for exploring the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors. Sandy beaches are easily accessible and within a few minutes’ walk from the front door.
Whitby itself has plenty to see and do including its famous harbour overlooked by the Abbey ruins, Pannet Park, the Whalebone Arch and Capt. Cook’s monument.
The town is a gateway to a number of pretty coastal villages and towns including Sandsend, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes.
