Welcome to Catwell House Bed and Breakfast in Williton. Our secluded 17th century property offers a wealth of charm and character with many original features retained including exposed beams and log fires. Situated adjacent to the Macmillan Way West, we are set in a scenic location between the Quantocks and the Exmoor National Park with beautiful views over the surrounding open countryside. Tailor-made walking packages are available and we can provide packed lunches, transport to and from nearby walks and drying facilities as part of one of our walking breaks. Our charming country house is also ideal for couples on a romantic break and we offer a choice of four guest suites including a spacious four poster room, a two bedroomed family suite and a garden suite. Please note we do not accept children under the age of ten and always aim to provide a relaxing, home from home atmosphere.
We have created our quality bed and breakfast accommodation using our experience of staying in similar establishments during our extensive travels. Our four guest suites all have spacious en-suite facilities. The Monksilver Garden Suite has a super king-size double bed or can also be presented as a twin if required, it is located on the ground floor and has patio doors to the garden. The Quantock Room is our four poster room with feature solid wood bed. Glebe Suite has a king size bed. Our River two bedroomed family suite has a twin and king size bedroom which share a family bathroom and are located on their own private landing. Quantock, Glebe and River each have an ensuite bathroom with shower and bath. Monksilver Garden Suite has an en-suite wet room. Freeview digital TV is provided and other facilities include mini fridge, tea/ coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. We can also provide glasses, wine coolers and cork screws and the sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating, exposed beams and a real fire. There is an attractive dining room where you can enjoy breakfast each morning and guests are also welcome at relax in our picturesque lawn garden during the summer months.
Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement at Catwell House. Our country location is adjacent to the Macmillan Way West and is also close to the Coleridge Way and South West Coast Path which makes it an ideal base for scenic walks. Within a five minute walk you will find local amenities including pubs, restaurants, shops and banks. We are also conveniently placed for steam train rides along the West Somerset Railway which has a station in the village. The train can be viewed from our garden! For days out you can enjoy trips to Watchet, Dunster Castle and the beautiful beaches of the Somerset coast.
