Ashton Holiday Cottages near Cheddar are two beautiful cottage conversions, formerly a milking parlour, surrounded by the stunning countryside of the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. Single storey and decorated to a high standard with style and flair, the cottages are superb retreats, ideal for couples or families. Accommodation is set in the grounds of New House Farm, only 1 mile from Wedmore village centre and within easy driving distance of Bath, Bristol and Wells. The local area is a top spot for outdoor activities with numerous opportunities for cycling, riding, walking and fishing.
One cottage sleeps 2-5 in a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and an additional room with a z-bed. The other cottage sleeps 2-4 in double and twin rooms.

Each cottage has its own private garden with a patio area, garden furniture, barbecue and separate parking for two cars.
Please note we do not accept pets and our cottages are non-smoking.
The cottages can be booked individually or as a pair for extended parties of up to nine people. Being single storey, they are ideal for young families and may be suitable for elderly guests.
Couples are very welcome. Our cottages are available for three night stays from a Friday or four night stays starting on a Monday except over the May and Summer school holidays. Short breaks may be available over Christmas and New Year - contact us for further details.
Set amidst the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels, with views to the dramatic Cheddar Gorge, Ashton Cottages are a perfect base for exploring Somerset and the surrounding area.
Local attractions include Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Tor and the City of Wells with its beautiful Cathedral. Bath and Bristol are both within easy driving distance, as are many other family attractions.
We are situated just 1 mile from Wedmore village centre and 2 miles from Cheddar. Wedmore is a quaint picturesque village, steeped in history, dating back to King Alfred the Great. The village boasts many small shops offering clothes, shoes, gifts, tearooms, beauty salons, hairdressers, chemist, post office and butchers.
Superb walking, riding and cycling can be enjoyed on the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels, which also offers an abundance of wildlife. The beach at Weston-Super-Mare is a must for families and can be reached in around 30-40 minutes by car. Golf, shooting and fishing are all available within 1 mile of the cottages.
From the M5 (junction 22) take the A38 north (signed for Weston) for approximately 0.5 mile, then turn right, by the Fox & Goose Pub, signposted Mark. After 2 miles turn left at the crossroads and travel through Mark and Blackford (B3139). Stay on this road for 4 miles which takes you into Wedmore.
In the centre of Wedmore turn left to Cheddar (B3151). We are approx 1 mile out of Wedmore, through Cocklake, on the left. Look out for the signpost.
