Cross Farm Barns are a selection of luxurious four star self catering holiday cottages in the Yorkshire market town of Holmfirth, heart of 'Last of the Summer Wine' country. This fabulous area is renowned for its stunning beauty and offers fantastic walking opportunities in the high hills and lush green valleys. The quiet unspoilt villages found here harbour a variety of unique shops, country pubs, fine restaurants and cafe bars. The area has been featured in the Yorkshire TV series 'Where The Heart Is', and many of the cast stayed with us during the summer filming season.
Two of our cottages sleep 4 people and boast a double room and a twin room, while our third cottage sleeps 2 (in a double room). Choose from a double room, twin rooms or a simple single, all our bedrooms have the most breathtaking views of the Pennines. Wake to the stunning scenery and tranquillity of the surrounding Yorkshire countryside.
The Holme Valley has excellent transport links making us easy to find. The M1 and M62 are half an hour's drive away and within an hour you can be in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield or the historic City of York.

Holmfirth is surrounded by spectacular rural scenery and is ideally placed for exploring the Peak District and Yorkshire Pennines. Chester, York, Harrogate, the Yorkshire Dales, the Staffordshire Potteries and Alton Towers are all within easy reach.
Travelling from the south, exit the M1 at Junction 35a and follow signs for Manchester/ Huddersfield for around 10 miles. At the large roundabout continue straight over onto the A616 heading towards Huddersfield. Continue on this road for 1 mile, and at the crossroads take a left turn onto the B6106 towards Holmfirth. Carry on for around 5 miles until you see a windmill on your right, then look out for a minor crossroads and signpost marked Scholes on the right - just after this sign you will see Cross Farm Barn on the righthand side.
