We offer free parking for those who want to venture out of the city and into Yorkshire and Wi-Fi is available through the hotel.
We have a range of rooms suitable for any budget and requirements. They comprise single, house doubles or twins, deluxe king with a 6 ft super king size bed and 42" Flatscreen Freeview TV or our unique Grand Room.
All beds have luxury 2000 pocket sprung mattresses with bed linen and towels provided. The crisp and clean en-suite bathrooms have rain showers and complimentary organic toiletries.
For added comfort, our rooms have multichannel flat screen TVs, hairdryers, work desks, clock radios with iPod docks and a Nespresso coffee maker with organic tea and ground coffee provided. Most rooms enjoy views towards the ancient St Denys Church, located directly opposite the hotel.
Breakfasts are served each morning in our stunning breakfast room and include a selection of fruits, cereals, toast, yoghurts, and freshly ground tea and coffee are available to start followed by a Full Yorkshire breakfast - made with locally sourced ingredients.
Lighter options are available including salmon and scrambled eggs. We are more than happy to cater for any special dietary requirements – please let us know in advance.
We offer free parking in our private car park on a first come first served basis. If the car park is full we can provide you with parking vouchers for 24 hours secure offsite parking nearby.
As one of the most centrally located hotels in the city, we boast very easy access to all attractions and the city’s breathtaking historic sites.
There are a vibrant mix of independent boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars to enjoy amidst the historic buildings and cobbled streets. The city is perfect for visiting throughout all seasons with attractions including the famous Jorvic Viking Centre, Theatre Royal and Castle Museums open all year.
There is a two night minimum stay for Friday and Saturday bookings. Please note that we do not accept group bookings but the hotel can be booked as a whole for exclusive celebrations or events.
Check in is between 3pm and 8pm and rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
The city is well served by rail links being around 2 hours away from London and 2.5 hours from Edinburgh. The St Denys Hotel York is less than a mile's walk or 5 minute taxi drive from York Train Station.
The nearest airport is Leeds/Bradford which, like Manchester, Newcastle and London airports are all conveniently linked to York by rail.
Pick up the A1079 York Road – accessible from the North and South of the A64 Follow signs to the city centre until you reach the city walls and Walmgate Bar at some traffic lights ahead. You will need to be in the right hand lane in order to cross straight over the intersection and through the City Walls into Walmgate. From here, St Denys Road is the 4th road on the left, and the hotel is situated on the left opposite the church. The car park is to the right of the hotel.
