Built in 1699, Middlethorpe Hall is a beautiful William and Mary country house set just 1.5 miles from the transport links and attractions of York city centre. Ideal for extra special breaks, our magnificent property is owned by the National Trust and sits in beautiful manicured gardens.
Our range of accommodation includes our two main house suites - 'The Lady Mary Suite' and 'The Duke of York Suite' which both retain beautiful period features. We also have a single room, deluxe double/ twin rooms and four poster rooms in the main house. Four further suites - The Courtyard Suites - are situated on the ground and first floors of our courtyard accommodation and we also have a range of single, double/ twin and superior double/ twin courtyard bedrooms. Our final accommodation, The Cottage and Garden Suites, are situated 75 yards from the main house and offer a greater degree of privacy. Two can accommodate a family of up to three or be inter-connected for larger families. Each has its own garden where guests can relax.
Children over six are welcome in the hotel and our cottage suites can sleep up to three people or be booked together to accommodate larger families. Please note that only children over eight years old are accepted in the spa. Only the Cottage Suites and Garden Suite are pet friendly and dogs (with the exception of service dogs) are not permitted in the main house.
The main city centre attractions of York can be found a mile and a half way. The hotel is also set overlooking York Racecourse and other nearby attractions include the York Designer Outlet
