A large character stone cottage perfect for couples, Skelton Cottage just north of Pickering in the North York Moors takes its name from the clergyman Reverend Skelton who built Grove House in the 19th Century. Boasting views across to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, this charming cottage is a favourite with steam railway fans and has a wonderful stone fireplace with woodburner. A choice of walks are direct from your door and Skelton is pet friendly with an enclosed garden.
The cottage sleeps 2 guests and is single storey with a double bedroom containing an antique wardrobe and attractive bedside cabinets. The bathroom has a double ended bath and separate spacious shower unit with thermostatically controlled power shower, wc and wash basin. All electric, coal, logs and gas central heating are inclusive in booking along with luxury bed linen, duvets, pillows and towels. The lounge contains a sofa bed offering additional sleeping space for two (only available with occupancy remaining at 2 people). The lounge also has a woodburner in a stone fireplace, a 32" Freesat LCD TV and recorder, a DVD and music hi-fi with CD and radio.
The dining area seats up to 4 guests and a well equipped kitchen contains a microwave, an oven with a ceramic hob and a dishwasher. Additional sleeping space for 2 is on a sofa bed in the lounge. Ample off road parking is just outside the property and a laundry room in outbuildings has a washer, dryer and a freezer. The enclosed cottage garden is communal and the cottage has a patio area with garden furniture, a BBQ and a Chimenea. Free WiFi is available and changeover day is a Saturday.
