Only 50 yards from the beach, Kindly Light is an idyllic self-catering cottage in Staithes. The seaside village is full of picturesque cottages, ours included, cobbled streets and small alleyways. Keen walkers can experience scenic cliff-top walks and don’t forget to visit the devilishly tall 666 ft cliff that’s the highest in the country. If you want to venture further afield then Whitby is close by. Our cottage is beautifully presented with lots of attention to detail. We have all the facilities a family needs to enjoy a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi is available.
The ground floor has a combined lounge, dining and kitchen area with an oak floor giving it a modern yet homely feel. Here you’ll find a reclining leather sofa, Freesat TV, wood burning stove, dining table, and all the mod cons you’ll need to flex your culinary skills including: a fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and a double oven. As mobile reception in the village is poor we've included a payphone in the cottage.
Kindly Light is a beautifully presented cottage with three bedrooms, sleeping up to five people. On the first floor is the main bedroom with a beamed ceiling, oak bed, rocking chair, plasma TV with Freesat and stunning views across the harbour. A twin room, also with harbour views, and oak beds is on the second floor, there’s also a single bedroom.
Cottages that have gardens are very rare in Staithes so we consider ourselves lucky that we have one. Our garden includes a patio heater, barbecue and furniture. There’s also an outhouse with washing machine and storage for bikes.
Please note: If any extra person/persons stay after you have confirmed how many in the party, they will be charged at £80 per night.
