About this Bed and Breakfast

Surrounded by natural greenery and woodland, The Old Mill B&B in the friendly village of Spetisbury offers a fantastic annexe room that is ideal for both couples and families.

This unique accommodation occupies a beautiful riverside location and its detached to give guests complete privacy and tranquillity in the heart of the country. Continental breakfasts are prepared and served to your room which has a mini hidden kitchenette and small dining table. Based on the banks of the River Stour, this accommodation is ideal for those wanting to explore the beauty of the Dorset countryside.

Inside The Old Mill

This first floor annexe is very well presented with contemporary furnishings and boasts stunning woodland views. It is accessible via an outdoor staircase and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The room includes a sofa sofa bed for children and a TV with a DVD player.

A hidden kitchenette area in the room includes a fridge, toaster, egg boiler and microwave along with tea and coffee making facilities and there is also a dining table with chairs. For children a high chair and toy box are provided

A king size bed in the room is comfortable and there is a large ensuite bathroom with shower over and modern fittings.


A continental breakfast is included in the rate and it's prepared and left in your room each morning. Include is a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, ham, croissants, homemade bread, butter, preserves, tea and coffee, and a choice of fruit juice. 

Other Facilities

Outside there are extra tables and chairs for guests to relax in the riverside garden and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There's an abundance of wildlife and birds in the area; otters, kingfishers, herons, egrets and much more can all be seen.

A packed lunch can be supplied for days out.


Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 10.30am on the day of departure.

During July and August, bookings at the weekend are a minimum of two nights.

Children can stay for an extra £12 per night and there isn't a charge for babies.

Two hours drive from London, Spetisbury is four miles South-east of Blandford Forum on the A350.

From Blandford proceed south-east along the A350 passing through the village of Charlton Marshall and then on towards Spetisbury.  On entering the 30mph zone for the village, turn left opposite the primary school onto the farm track, passing Clapcotts Farm on your left, continue straight on and you will reach the top of our drive.  Drive on to the right of the double garage.  The Old Mill B&B is at the end of the drive, directly in front of you.
