About this Holiday Cottage

Cider Mill Cottage is a detached thatched cottage in the Gloucestershire village of Alderton. The cottage sleeps six people and has two double bedrooms, one twin and two family bathrooms. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area. Outside is off road parking and an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. With many character features throughout, Cider Mill Cottage is a memorable retreat for a holiday in the beautiful Cotswolds.


Three bedrooms: 2 x king-size double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. Ground floor wet room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with breakfast area (seats 4). Utility. Sitting room with dining area and gas woodburner-effect stove.

Gas central heating in kitchen and wet room, underfloor heating in bathroom, storage heaters and gas fire. Range cooker with electric oven and 8-ring gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, iPod dock, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: Sloping ceilings in bedrooms and low door heights, care to be taken. Note: Due to steep narrow stairs and uneven original floors, cottage may be unsuitable for the less mobile. Note: Check-in 4pm, check-out 10am. Note: Although this is a pet-free property, the owner does sometimes take a pet.

Around and About

Alderton lies on the border of the Cotswolds and the Vale of Evesham and was mentioned in the Doomsday book. It has a village pub and a village store stocking locally sourced produce. Alderton is centrally situated for exploring tourist attractions such as Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
