The cottage has an upside down layout, and can sleep four people in two ground floor bedrooms, one double with an en-suite shower room, and one twin, there is also a ground floor WC. The first floor open plan living area comprises of a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside of the cottage there is off road parking for two cars, communal grounds, as well as a private lawned orchard garden to the front with furniture. Set in a beautiful location, Orchard Cottage is a lovely holiday cottage for any couple or small family.

The idyllic village of Goathland is set on the north eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park. It is surrounded by the rugged open moorlands which provide excellent walking country and on which sheep graze freely. The village has been popularised by the television programme Heartbeat. At the bottom of the village lies the station for the famous North York Moors Steam Railway. Here you may catch a train to nearby Pickering and relax as the train winds its way through the moors. Goathland is also within easy reach of the East Coast towns of Whitby and Staithes, making it a great holiday base.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
