First established in 1960, Aigas is now home to a range of self-catering cottages. It’s family run and a warm welcome is extended to all those that come and stay, especially families. Our central location provides easy access to Inverness, the famous Loch Ness, Glen Strathfarrar and Glen Affric. Those looking for a taste of the outdoors can explore local forest trails, take part in bird watching or try their hand at free trout fishing on the banks of the River Beauly. Glen Strathfarrar of the many facilities that sets us apart is our nine hole golf course. Expertly designed, it offers a great challenge for beginners and experienced players alike.
The farm courtyard at Aigas has seen plenty of refurbishments in recent years and care has gone into creating these attractive self-catering cottages. There are four to choose from in the courtyard itself:
Coach House - Two storeys, spacious and sleeps six
Old Stable and Old Dairy - Each sleeps four people and has great views of the golf course
Pond View - Spacious first floor cottage that has room for six
Cuil na Caillich - Nestled in the hillside, it accommodates four to six and has stunning views overlooking the farm
Each cottage has a fully fitted kitchen, double glazing, electric night storage heating and a newly fitted flat screen satellite TV.
Guests can make use of a shared laundry room and communal garden with seating and a barbeque. Linen is provided and towels are available for just £3. Electricity is metered.
Scotland is renowned for its golf courses and the par 33, nine hole course at Aigas only adds to what the area has to offer. Designed by Bill Mitchell of the PGA, hr rejected the idea of constructing a course on steep terrain, instead choosing a parkland style. Guests staying with us receive a 50% discount all year round.
Short breaks can be arranged, subject to availability.
