About this Holiday Cottage

Southdene is a spacious duplex apartment, set out over the second and third floors, in the North Yorkshire coastal town of Filey. The apartment sleeps six people in three bedrooms - one king-size double on the second floor and two twins on the third floor. There is a shower room on the second floor with shower, basin and WC, along with a third floor bathroom with bath (with shower off the taps), basin and WC. The living accommodation is on the second floor, comprisinga fitted kitchen and sitting room with gas fire and dining area. With the amenities of Filey and a sandy beach just minutes away, Southdene makes a great base for a seaside break.


Three bedrooms: 1 x 2nd floor king-size double, 2 x 3rd floor twins. 2nd floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. 3rd floor bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC. 2nd floor fitted kitchen. 2nd floor sitting room with electric fire and dining area.

Gas central heating with electric fire in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, iPod dock, WiFi, small selection of books, games and DVDs. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Roadside parking in front of property (no restrictions but first come, first served). Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop, pub and beach 3 mins walk. Note: Entrance to apartment is via a long internal staircase.

Around and About

The seaside town of Filey offers a good old fashioned English seaside holiday. It features Filey Bay, which is a lovely, long sandy beach and Filey Brigg to the north with shallow rock pools. There are interesting shops, a coble landing, two promenades, pony rides and children's play areas, while within easy driving distance are Scarborough and Bridlington.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
