    About this Holiday Cottage

    Peaceful Cottage is a character cottage in a rural setting in Lulham near the village of Madley, near Hereford in the Wye Valley. The cottage has two double rooms and a single room, a family bathroom, downstairs cloakroom, well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking for three cars and a garden with patio and furniture. Peaceful Cottage makes a superb base for enjoying walking and cycling in the area, including a farm walk to visit the owner's Pedigree Hereford cattle and purchase fresh eggs, and also to enjoy Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains or the Brecon Beacons.


    Three bedrooms: 2 x double, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with woodburning stove and dining area.

    Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, radio, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and booster chair on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Bike storage. Enclosed lawned garden with furniture, BBQ and children's climbing frame/slide. One well-behaved dog welcome (downstairs only). Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile.

    Around and About

    Madley is a small Herefordshire village in the Wye Valley, near the Golden Valley. Madley has its own moat, as well as two village pubs. Madley is within easy driving distance of the cathedral city of Hereford, and also the 'town of books' Hay-on-Wye, both wonderful days out. Close too are the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and the Forest of Dean.

    Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
