Around and About

The small town of Creetown, originally named Ferrytown of Cree, is in south west Scotland, in the Dumfries and Galloway region. Creetown was a fishing village but is now well known for being where The Wicker Man was filmed and for its Country Music Festival.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
